Hello, I am Ms. Brooke and I am so excited to be sharing with you my experience in EME 2040. I am an aspiring Teacher and Principal. Currently, I am in my Freshman year of college. I will explore my abilities with educational technology through this course.
Previously I have designed websites for other classes using Wix. I am also very skilled at Photoshop and Canva. I was the Historian for my High Schools Theatre Department and I ran all the Social Media Accounts. I loved learning the different media and had a lot of fun getting to be creative on them. I have grown up in schools with computers of computer labs and used them throughout my schooling as a tool to complete assignments.
I usually used Google docs to take notes for the class including Google slides. I find it really helpful when being creative to have the free movement of Google slides to place pictures and graphs. I also love using Microsoft Word to create my resumes for jobs because they make the layout easy to manipulate. I like the Canvas calendar but I prefer a written on so I use a whiteboard for assignments mostly. However, when I have nonclass things I typically use this simple calendar app I have on my phone. It allows me to see my monthly schedule when I open the app. Unlike the Apple calendar which only shows dots on days, I have something written down.

Hi Brooke!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your blog and appreciate the shoutout at the bottom! Your goal of becoming a principal is a great one and definitely achievable! I am glad you want to be a teacher first since I personally think all future principals should have teaching experience first.
I also have Adobe Photoshop experience and it is my favorite Adobe program to use. You can do so many cool things with Photoshop! I think it is so important to be able to use resources like Photoshop and Canva for our future careers.
I look forward to getting to know you more this semester and reading your blog!
Hi Brooke! I think it is so interesting that you are very comfortable using Photoshop and Canva. I feel many people are not familiar with these programs, including myself. I have also grown up going to required computer labs, so I am familiar with computers but not as much with programs like the ones we have been using in this class. I enjoyed reading your blog!
