Diigo was not an easy resource to use. I found it confusing and hard to navigate. I much prefer library websites or search engines. I do not like the old format and do not like how busy the pages look which makes it difficult to navigate. Overall I think the website needs an update.
I really enjoy blogging it seems like a great way to look back on my progress and explain what I have learned throughout this course. I have learned that there are a lot of programs we use in this class that I have grown more confident using. I will use blogger in the future as a teacher because I think it is great at being self-reflective. I never want my students to get in the car and when their parents asked what they learned today they do not have an answer. I think I could make the blog post an end-of-day activity write about something you learned today.
Blogger allows students to write and look back on what they have learned but can also be creative. You get to design a blog and what you want it to look like. I can also use it as a short story writing exercise. Have students slowly add to a story they are writing throughout the quarter and at the end, they can read their full story to the class. This is a great way to measure how my students will improve in their writing throughout the year and practice their typing skills.
