Central Tree Middle School has links to teachers' pages. Mrs. O'conner has a great page on sixth-grade mathematics. She has links about what the class is doing, the class syllabus, and an extra help link. I think these pages are helpful to parents of students in these classes and also for people looking at attending this school. It gives an idea of what the teachers will be like. I do think this is a great thing for school websites to have, however, I would not expect teachers to update these sites regularly. I think that is too much work but as most college professors list the assignments for the semester and include email links I think that is doable for other teachers.
I will use sites such as canvas, canva, and blogger to make grading easier and class more creative. I do not want to overwhelm my future elementary students with too many websites but I will use ones such as these which help students stay organized and be creative. I want to do writing and typing lessons on blogger but assign projects on with canva. I will use canvas for everyday purposes and store all class materials on there as well. As most teachers today do; I think it is an excellent program but wish it was a bit more customizable.
Personally, I was not a fan of Wiki. The site did its purpose and it was cool how I could collaborate with so many other people. I do think that the site has not updated its format or graphics in a long time. It looks like it has been created and untouched since the year 2000. it also worked really slow and was not enjoyable to use as I found myself always searching all over the screen for the website tools. Overall it did its purpose but I would not recommend or use it again.
