One of the fourth-grade standards is to be able to make connections between text and visual representation. This could mean reading a book and making up a skit, movie, PowerPoint that summarizes the plot and points out the similarities and differences. I feel very capable of explaining this lesson to students. However, I am not super comfortable with things like teacher tube and popplet yet. I feel confident about the lesson but not on the technology side so I am looking to build that confidence in this class.

In my resource students watch a video on white oak basket making and its importance in Florida native heritage. I would show my students this video and then have them do a weaving exercise whether that is online through a game or physically. This way the students feel involved in the video they just watched. I would then have my students write about the cultural significance of the white oak weaving baskets.

Internet searching for teachers is important because teachers need to be able to find evidence, sources, and double-check themselves. I think the most important skill I learned this week was how to search on google with shortcuts. I think this skill will come in handy when searching for quotes in English. I am excited to share this skill with students so they can be better at searching for resources.
