I acquired the skill to link buttons to different slides. I was also able to come up with a way to engage students with a game. Next time I will add more colors and hopefully have the game go along with a lesson. I did not love the idea of a choose your own adventure and thought it would be a lot of work, but it was quite simple and enjoyable.
I will definitely use surveys to ask my students in 2nd grade their preferences. For example, I will see if they want indoor or outside recess. Sometimes students need indoor play and I think I should give them that option. I will also use surveys to gauge my student's understanding. I could ask "who feels confident counting money?" Then I can help the students who answer no.
I found Ben's blog really interesting because he is a photography teacher. I like how he makes every lesson on photography. This can be difficult but he always finds a to make it work for the assignment. He puts in the extra work to make his blog colorful, interesting, and easy to use.
In all honesty, I do not understand digital badges or how they work. I do not really understand the point. Snapchat removed theirs because there was not really any point and I agree. I much prefer a physical prize for my accomplishments. I know in my classroom I will not be using them to encourage students.
In the future, I hope to learn how to create a canvas page. I think that Canvas is an amazing tool that will be around for a long time. Many teachers are still not great at technology and using canvas I hope to start learning how to make a cohesive canvas page that is easy to use soon. I want to have experience in creating a page like this so I have a head start when I begin teaching.
Thank you so much for talking about my blog!! I really appreciate it!
